“Digital Mill” Series Highlights USA Pereira Barreto Sugar Mill in First Episode
The first episode of the Digital Mill program series features the USA Pereira Barreto sugar mill, part of Usina Santa Adélia.
Built on the concept of a digital twin—a virtual model of a physical object—the new unit is scheduled to begin operations in April.
Project Based on Digital Twin Technology
The construction project of the mill was based on the digital twin concept, which creates a virtual representation of a physical object or process. This technology is used to simulate scenarios, monitor operations, and optimize processes.
How It Works
-
The digital twin is created using data collected from sensors and other information sources.
-
The data is processed and transformed into an accurate, interactive digital representation.
-
The digital twin is updated in real time.
-
The digital twin leverages simulation, machine learning, and reasoning to support decision-making.
