Triniton develops steam and power generation solutions focused on the performance and reliability of industrial assets. At Grupo Moreno’s CEMMA unit, the company executed a boiler retrofit project that delivered significant improvements in efficiency and availability through targeted engineering interventions.

The retrofit project for the CEMMA boiler was designed with a clear objective: to improve the combustion system without requiring complete equipment replacement or increasing fuel consumption.
The scope included the complete replacement of the grate system, the reengineering of the hot air distribution system, and improvements to fuel distribution within the furnace. These modifications provide more efficient combustion, improved thermal utilization, greater operational stability, and, most importantly, increased boiler availability throughout the harvest season.
This engineering approach has made the operation more predictable and robust, significantly reducing unplanned shutdowns while ensuring continuous mill operation—an essential condition for maximizing cane crushing capacity and production.
The project was built upon close collaboration and outstanding technical alignment between all teams involved, combined with the strategic vision and prioritization of the mill’s management, which clearly identified the operation’s critical challenges and recognized the value of Triniton’s proposed solutions.
This combination of strategy and engineering is what enables tangible operational results: greater operational stability, increased equipment availability, and a continuous, robust, and predictable operation throughout the harvest season, reinforcing a partnership founded on trust and proven performance.
The results achieved by the CEMMA boiler project demonstrate substantial performance improvements. The unit, which previously operated at approximately 150 t/h, now reaches its rated capacity of 200 t/h following the implemented upgrades, representing a significant increase in steam production. Based on these successful results, additional optimization studies are already underway to further increase capacity to 220 t/h.
